Cell phone radiation Jun04 '03
This topic annoys Michelle endlessly. Cell phone radiation. We all have heard of it, and we all still stick our cell phones to our ears for hours each day. And what do most people think of the warning? Nada. A slight drop below nothing.
And I guess that’s OK. For now. We can’t judge the long–term effects of cell phone radiation, until the long–term has arrived on our front door step, Or until people start getting brain tumors – whichever comes first.
I am just as guilty of talking on my phone for hours every day, but I have discovered a short–term solution. Headsets. They keep the cell phone away from your head, and out of harm’s way. They also keep you from swerving off the road into oncoming traffic on Interstate 12. They are remarkable little devices.
Now... these headsets don’t have to be actual headsets – the one for my phone is just an ear piece. The microphone to talk is attached to the wire, so essentially I appear to be talking to myself. Maybe all those strange people on street corners were just using ear pieces. You never know.
In any case – I appreciate my ear piece and I plan on finding more accessories for it. Hey – that’s life in the big city.
