How far to a MapQuest built–in search? Jul19 '04
Many web browsers offer built–in search boxes, for sites such as Google, Amazon, eBay, Dictionary.com, and much more. These search boxes, which usually sit in the toolbar, allow you to search those web sites without having to visit the page first.
This is extremely handy, because it saves a big step. If you’re at another web page, and you think of something that you want to search on Google, you can just pop it in the search box, instead of opening a whole new page first.
Isn’t it about time that MapQuest offered this same feature? I think it would help, since I am always looking for driving directions, or just trying to figure out how far a place is from where I live. I really think this needs to be built–in, as well.
Actually having to visit web pages is too much work.
