Time, patience, and revision Jul28 '04
Oh, if time could just be put on hold for a little bit... It would give me time to write.
There are so many good ideas floating around in my head, and I want to write about them... but that clock just keeps moving forward. (And tonight I want to watch the rest of "Something’s Gotta Give," which is surprisingly better than I thought it would be...)
Here are some things I want to write about, and hopefully I will in the very near future:
- I want to talk about typography, and some basic fundamentals of the letterform that every graphic designer and web designer should know.
- I want to discuss my own "permalinks," and, recently, Mike gave me more inspiration to discuss such a topic...
- I want to talk about the color scheme I decided to use on this site, and gather some reader opinions...
- I want to discuss Photoshop’s blending modes – an often confusing aspect of the software...
- I want to mention how, while using Safari on a Mac – if you hit Command+Z in the address bar, the browser quits unexpectantly. Quite a bug, if you ask me.
- I want to mention how the iTunes "play count" column is addicting!
There are so many more things I want to explore, and sometimes it’s beneficial just to list them, like I did. I can’t wave a magic wand and instantly write extensively about each topic. Writing takes time. Writing takes revision. Writing takes patience.
Sometime soon I will gain all three of those things, and you will see results.
