‘Pages’ slow on a G4? Feb10 '05
While trying out some general tasks in Pages, I've noticed it takes a while to process simple things, such as changing the font or color of an object.
I have a G4/867 MhZ desktop Mac.
This apparent "slowness" occurred after I opened a Word (.doc) document in Pages (which I will do from now on anyway.)
My point is... Maybe the Word document is causing the slow processing.
Although, I don’t know how it could, because Apple has declared that Pages is fully compatible with Word documents, as well as many other file formats.
Pages (at first glance) seems to hog a lot of memory.
I’m hoping it’s just my system.
All in all, I am still very impressed with all aspects of the software.
