Mezzoblue goodies Feb21 '05

I wanted to mention couple of things that have made the headlines recently at Mezzoblue.

Although many of you may have already been involved with the topics – I have just gotten around to fully absorbing them, and I feel they are worth a "write–up."

CMYK (for Those Who Do RGB)

In CMYK (for Those Who Do RGB), Dave Shea discusses the distinct differences between the two major color processes (CMYK and RGB), to assist "web people," who may only be familiar with the RGB side of things, including myself.

This article is fascinating, mainly because it discusses something other than CSS or RSS! The article is detailed and informative, and definitely requires a few re–reads, and a (long) peek at the books and sources he includes.

Also, read all the feedback on the article. There is even more valuable information contained within.

Josh has referred to this, also.

The Zen of CSS Design

You didn’t think I could mention Dave Shea, and not bring up CSS, did you? Tisk, tisk.

His book is out, and I am very excited at what’s contained within.

I have a feeling this book already requires you to have a "solid to strong" understanding of CSS principles. It probably will not be a "CSS tutorial" book. After all, Eric Meyer has already covered those angles.

The Zen of CSS Design will break down many of the famous CSS designs at the Zen Garden web site, and offer valuable tips on how each author created their version, which are some of the best looking sites on the web.

I am anticipating a fascinating read – to compliment the site itself.
