Recent (and current) Netflix viewing

I’ve seen some good movies lately, while making it a "Netflix Night." (That sounds much better than the original source of the quote, right?) Since I have yet to implement a "Video" section on this site, I have to discuss my movie experiences under my main Blog. (Similar to Music only being mentioned under my Music section.) My movie experiences – under my Blog section – will have to do, for now. Yesterday I witnessed both Saving Silverman, and Good Will Hunting, and today I am watching Exorcist: The Beginning. Good Will HuntingMatt Damon remains one of my favorite actors, next to Billy Bob Thornton, Jack Black, and the stoic Kevin Spacey. Although Good Will Hunting was released in 1997 – I hadn’t seen it, until yesterday. And I regret every day since it’s release. Good Will Hunting was brilliant. I cried. Many times. It moved me that much. I wondered why I hadn’t seen it earlier. Saving SilvermanLike I said, I like Jack Black. Saving Silverman was great, for laughs. The movie had it’s high points. And what movie can go wrong with Neil Diamond in it? Exorcist: The BeginningI already own The Exorcist on DVD, but now I am watching Exorcist: The Beginning, which is supposedly the "prequel" to the former. I am 1 hour and 15 minutes into it, and I’m not sure I understand what the hell is going on. (And HELL is going on, trust me.) It doesn’t really explain why The Exorcist came about, which is what I thought it would do. And, most importantly, I find it hard to trust any movie with Stellan Skarsgard in it. Comments/Mentions |
