Spam my email address? Go right ahead... Jun23 '05
When you visit a web site, which asks you for your email address, so you can receive future news and updates – do you pause to decide whether or not to provide your email address?
I don’t. Not anymore.
I used to.
I figure my email address has already been spammed hundreds of times before, so really I don’t think I have anything to lose, by providing it.
Even when you get a new email address, within days you’re already getting spam. It never fails.
These days, there are many different ways to stay informed – most importantly RSS – so email is not a huge priority, for me.
I can comfortably balance my notifications between email and RSS – so there is not too much of one aspect.
If you want to spam my email address, go right ahead.
In fact, I’ll post it here right now: matthom@gmail.com. There you go. Have fun.
