It’s not over yet Aug12 '06
Cicadas buzzing in the trees all around,
The bright clarity of distinct summer sounds.
Restful moments near shady trees and flowers,
Whispering voices in afternoon hours.
Sneaking up on us is school and fall,
With a somber emergence into it all.
Although we will ponder the summer sun set,
It's only August and it's not over yet.
