I think saying "2000s" (pronounced: two thousands) is generally acceptable.

(1) How long did it take you to upload 40GB of music?

(2) Are you streaming at a lower quality than source? Like if you ripped at 192kbps for example, does iTunes stream it in at 128kbps to maintain hiccup free listening?

(3) Have you tried a on a few networks? Coffee shop WiFi, work network, home network: is the streaming quality about the same?

(4) Since the music is on S3, technically you could share it with other users now correct? (legal concerns)

I haven't uploaded all 40 GB yet. Just started the process. It takes about 15-20 minutes to upload a full album (11-15 songs, 192 kbps, 4-8 MB each).

This is still up for debate. I am torn between ripping as lossless, and streaming at a lower quality, so there's no hiccups. It seems hiccups only occur between songs - in other words, when one song is ending and the other is beginning - iTunes loads the next song, and sometimes I've noticed a lag.

(3) Have you tried a on a few networks? Coffee shop WiFi, work network, home network: is the streaming quality about the same?

I've tested on my home network, and my work. I've had good performance in both cases.

Are you referring to the "sharing features" of S3 - or just the fact that I can easily access my music (with the intention to share) from... let's say, a friend's home network? The "sharing features" of S3 I have yet to try. Otherwise, I can imagine the same iTunes DRM rights are applied to songs no matter where/how I store and retrieve them.
