Creative web site outage messages Feb23 '07
I noticed this message on Jpgmag.com today:

It's a creative way of saying, "Our site is down, and we're fixing the problem."
This seems to be a new trend - creative error messages. It's a nice, polite, non-technical way of informing your audience that there is a site-wide problem.
Flickr also does this from time to time, with a message such as: "Flickr is having a massage," as Josh recently points out.
What I'm wondering is if there is a collection of these "phrases" that can be pooled together to decide which one is best.
I'd imagine a Flickr group for such screenshots - a collection from around the web, of the best "creative error messages" for site outages.
The problem is, there's no way to capture these phrases unless sites are down.

I think that is a great idea. You should start the Flickr group yourself and be the administrator of the group. If the group becomes popular, peo ... Read more.
