Online pizza ordering Mar02 '07

I've been eager to do an analysis of pizza restaurants that offer online menus and ordering. I'd like to decide who's got the best "overall online experience," while ordering pizza.

(This entry is not the analysis - it's more like the "preview to the analysis," which is yet to be written.)

So who actually offers online pizza ordering?

It seems like only the larger pizza chains offer online ordering, from what I can tell. Smaller, "Mom and Pop" pizza places aren't as quick to the "internet ordering option," although I don't know why. It's 2007. There is no excuse to not have a web site of some sort.

Anyway, I recently received this email promo from Papa John's. They put in a new store near my workplace. I enjoy Papa John's pizza, and would like to order more frequently, and online ordering is certainly appealing.

So far I've only tried Pizza Hut's online ordering option, and was relatively happy with the experience.

I find that online ordering is a much more visually rich experience than just talking to someone on the phone.
