Purchase 24 on iTunes, or wait until December?

A short while ago, I was ecstatic that Fox released the first four episodes of 24, Season 6 on DVD. This release came simultaneous to the network television airing, which is uncommon for DVD's.

Meanwhile on television, the show has moved far along since those first four episodes, and yet there is no new DVD release for the subsequent shows.

I am guessing Fox is now going to wait the typical full length of the season, before releasing the box set for season 6.

In previous years, 24 usually runs from January to March or April. Then, the DVD set isn't released until December of that year.

So this means I may have to wait until December to start episode five, of which I have been very eager to see.

I don't know if I can hold out that long.

I am out of sync with the television airings, so it seems my only option is to purchase the episodes on iTunes, for $1.99 each.

With 20 episodes to go, that's $40, when I already pay for Netflix.

Is it worth it? I have yet to decide.
