Continuing education through media Mar19 '07
I noticed iTunes is now offering continuing education podcasts to it's arsenal of downloadable audio.

I've been an avid supporter of "continuing education made easy," through CD's, DVD's, etc. The wealth of information contained in such courses is astounding. You can take a college-level course on almost any topic imaginable - all while you drive to and from work each day.
I've purchased many courses from the The Great Courses in the past, and I recommend their selection to anyone looking for continuing education, without having to physically be in a classroom.
iTunes podcasts are certainly intriguing, since can easily be downloaded, and they are free. The Great Courses are not free, but still worth it, in my mind.
These are college-level professors we're talking about, at major universities.
I consider the audio-only versions more beneficial, since I already spend most of my "DVD watching time" with my Netflix subscription.
