Google Notebook enhancements Mar29 '07

Google finally pushed Notebook out of "Beta" status, and polished the interface to make it look more like Google Reader and Gmail.

Individual Notebook items are now contained in that familiar rounded-rectangle that Google uses frequently:

Notebooks also no longer lengthen the page itself - rather, they are contained within an iFrame that only scrolls within it's own boundaries:

The most critical change is individual notes are now auto-saved, which solves the source of many problems. It used to be you had to manually hit "Save," which was an extra step.

Still fully available are the excellent drag-and-drop features that Notebook is known for.

I'm not sure if I like this new interface yet. Notebook is something I look at every day, so I grew quite fond of the old look. Let's hope I can adapt to this.
