How 24 might have appeared in 1994 Dec09 '07
When I talked about cellular technology in television and movies, I made a point to mention the TV show 24 as an example of the over-use, and complete reliance on cell phones, the internet, and technology in general. What would 24 be like without cell phones, or the ability to transmit any piece of information to tiny wireless devices in a matter of seconds?
Apparently others have been wondering the same thing.
Here's a possible portrayal of how 24 would have appeared in 1994:
Notice the use of pagers, phone booths, AOL chat rooms, and VHS tapes. Most importantly, the speed of information is drastically slowed - something that recent episodes of 24 take for granted.
