Location-based reminders Apr06 '08

Here's another example of a useful idea for location-based input:

Remember The Milk allows for location-based input, for each task you create:

So, why then, when I update Twitter with my location, does RTM not send me an alert? Something like this would be nice:

Hey! We noticed you're in 60714 (Niles, IL). You have a task due tomorrow ("Drop off $100 to MG") in Morton Grove, which is right nearby. Are you able to take care of it now?

This could be considered a "smart reminder."

Something like this would be very useful because many times I'm right near a certain place on my To-Do list, but I forget about the item since it's not due for another few days. However, since I'm in the area, I could possibly take care of it ahead of time.
