Text before you forget: Using kwiry"Text it before you forget it!" This is kwiry's mantra, and there's not a simpler way to interact with web services while on the go. kwiry works with SMS, and anything you text to it will be acted upon. Think of it as performing a Google search through a web browser. Except, with kwiry, you submit your "query" via SMS. Results for that query are then sent to you via email, and saved in your kwiry account online. This can be better than a traditional Google search for a couple of reasons:
Sometimes you may wish to simply record your thought, and look at results later. Also, using special "keywords" allows you to interact with various web services that perform "actions" on your behalf. ExamplesWeb and AmazonLet's say you're out shopping and you see something that you may want to purchase, but would like to check Amazon first. Just text the name of the product to 59479:
You will immediately receive an email with web and Amazon results for your search term.
Perhaps you didn't need to act upon it right away, but still wanted to save the results so you can look at them later. Netflix queueYou're in the theatre and you see a trailer for a movie that just came out on DVD. Instantly you'd like to put it in your Netflix queue. Just text:
You'll receive an email confirmation to ensure that it actually worked. Schedule TiVo recordingsJust text:
Plenty moreThere's plenty more shortcuts that enable certain actions to be performed automatically. Ubiquitous nature of SMSI think you're getting the hang of things. If you're wondering why you couldn't just use your fancy iPhone application, or a standard mobile browser to perform these same actions, consider the ubiquitous nature of SMS. It's everywhere. You don't need a fancy mobile device to interact with kwiry. All you need is a phone capable of sending and receiving SMS.
