I love baseball video games.
(Just saying that makes me realize how old school the term “video games” sounds. These days games are “apps.”)
There is something to be said for extremely realistic experiences and high-intensity graphics that are found on games for Playstation 3 and Xbox. Not to knock iOS or Android games, as they lend themselves to very interesting interfaces (such as motion and touch) as well as portability (since we almost always have our phone with us).
But although games for iOS and Android are easily accessible and often cleverly crafted and fun, sometimes I want a richer and more detailed experience. And with baseball, the more detailed the experience, the better.
I enjoy playing full seasons and going through the ups-and-downs, while being able to recognize and relate to players, stadiums, and general characteristics and nuances of baseball.
Right now I play 9 Innings for iOS, and I love the portability aspect, as well as being able to pause games and restart later.
I want the same convenience with Playstation Vita, but with much better graphics and gameplay.
